A degree in computer science, information science, or networking is desirable. Some of the mandatory certificates are CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate),  CompTIA Network+, Juniper, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), and Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA).
